Heritage-style fashion is one of the best things about winter. This outfit makes me feel the need to add a pair of Hunters, a jacket with elbow patches, and go frolicking about on the moors!

Waistcoat: H&M
Blouse: Primark
Trousers: Primark
Boots: New Look
Satchel: Primark

Sorry for the photos, I hate the way small check patterns on trousers show up more like wiggly messiness! These trousers were a massive Primark bargain, I think they cost £13 but they're really good quality material and came with this cute mock-leather belt with chain detail. Usually I end up ditching free belts but this one goes really well! I've had the boots for ages but not gotten much wear out of them (story of my life - so many shoes, so little time). I think they really top off this look though.

I've had a fan-bloody-tastic day today. I woke up and did a bit of browsing from my bed as I, and hopefully many other shopping addicts, often do. Anyway I was looking at the New Look website as I've been after some black shorts, and not only did I find some cute black denim studded ones, but I managed to find myself a few more bargains too!

Not only that but this afternoon I was checking the H&M website (as you do) and found a sale on there too! There were a few bits that I've been eyeing up for a while massively reduced and I managed to get myself a couple of new knits on the cheap, which should hopefully cure the over-wearing of the white cable knit. Yes I am feeling a bit guilty but I can't wait to have lots of nice new bits to show you guys :) bring on the influx of parcels!

I've just updated my 'Current Lusts' list - check it out via the tab at the top of the page :)

(Fake) Leather Jacket: Primark
Cross necklace: Primark
Vest: Forever 21
Pyjama-style trousers: New Look
Creepers: Boohoo.com

I've gone for quite a grungy look today. I wasn't sure about creepers for ages, I was worried people would mistake me for some sort of goth-esque/alternative type person if I wore them and would stop me and ask me questions about heavy metal music or something, but I think they've gotten mainstream enough now that I needn't worry about that anymore! (My knowledge of music beyond the charts is fairly inadequate). I finally took the creepy-plunge with this pair from Boohoo - I think the feminine colour makes them a good pair with which to pop one's creeper cherry. I like they way they can instantly make an outfit more edgy, throw on a pair of skinnies and a printed tee and hey presto, here's fashion!

Monochroming it up today baby!

Hat: H&M
Top: River Island
Pleather shorts: H&M
Heeled Chelsea boots: soyoushoes.com

Is everyone feeling festive yet? Last year I worked up to and during Christmas so didn't really get the chance to get hyped up which was a bit rubbish really. This year I've actually got a couple of months off for the winter so am already feeling Christmassy! I love the fact that all the adverts are already on and already have a first, second and third draft of my perfect Christmas day outfit!! And I know this will make you hate me but I'm just gonna go on and say it anyway - I'VE FINISHED MY XMAS SHOPPING!! Now I know what you're thinking...probably something along the lines of smug biatch...but believe me this is an absolute first! I am chronically disorganised when it comes to gift buying. I'm the girl who sends a card a week later exclaiming, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, and gives friends with summer birthdays their presents around Christmas, and vice versa. But for once I am all done by December (which is actually pretty important as post service to my island can be a little later than the norm...). I think not working is the key. Maybe working in the run-up to Christmas should just be cancelled for everyone allowing more time to Christmas shop :p

Another day, another outfit based on my new favourite hat...is there anything that doesn't look better when topped off with a bowler hat?!

Hat: H&M
Vest: H&M
Maxi: Primark
Trainers: Primark

I love a good maxi - they hide all manner of sins don't they?! Perfect in winter when the tan has finally faded...sob. And yet again a berry item featuring in my outfit post - I'm thinking of renaming my blog 'Confessions of a Berry-holic' but then I would run the risk of attracting some seriously confused foodie bloggers...

Bought this skirt as part of a costume...now it's a welcome addition to my AW12 wardrobe :)

Skull-print scarf: Primark
Jumper: H&M
Skirt: Primark
Boots: Topshop

This bad boy was purchased for a SKOOL DAYZ (notice the cool spelling) night out during my uni freshers week, so yep, it's older than I'd like to admit!! However that does make it all the more satisfying that I'm still wearing it now! I love tartan and kilt style skirts (perhaps I get it from my Scottish mother) and have been searching for the perfect one this year. I got a pair of classic red tartan shorts in the River Island sale which I'll feature in a post soon too. As a special gift to you readers I've added a cheeky pic of this skirt's original night out, hope it gives you a giggle

This is Christmas outfit trial run #2

Necklace: New Look
Dress: Topshop
Belt: New Look
Heels: Primark

If you remember correctly, dear reader, outfit #1 was a rather spiffing emerald green H&M skater dress with tights  and leopard print boots. Now the lack of tights is a definite pro-factor here. Does anyone else have a bad relationship with tights? I find them very uncomfy. Either the crotch falls down, or the toe bit gets all twisted and upside down, or the crotch falls down even more. I also invariably end up pulling them up a little to vigorously (usually in a fit of I-hate-tights related rage) which somehow prompts a huge rip in the bum.

So a no-tights outfit is a big bonus. Give me midi-dresses and trouser options where possible. I love this dress, got it in the Topshop sale a little while back thinking it would be perfect for winter. I tried many times to get a good close up pic of the fabric which is stretchy and glittery but as I'm completely rubbish with my camera none of the pictures were at all representative of it's true loveliness.

Fashion rules are there to be broken...who says you can't wear sandals and socks?!

Cardigan: H&M
Blouse: River Island
Skirt: Topshop
Socks: New Look
Wedges: Forever 21

I'm a big fan of the sandals and socks look. I got these wedges hoping to wear them over summer, but haven't managed to yet (turns out there's a bit of a traffic jam in my shoe closet) so I've given them a bit of a winter makeover with some granddad-chic grey socks.  What do you reckon?!
